Qui est T’dòz ?
Ted G. Beaubrun aka « T’dòz » (prononcé Ti dose) est né à Ouanaminthe, Haïti et issu d’une famille parmi les plus prestigieuses musicalement et socialement engagée de l’île. Il est le petit-fils de Théodore Beaubrun, l’un des premiers tambourineurs de renom en Haïti et fils de Théodore Beaubrun Jr. dit Lòlò et de Mimerose dit Manzè, fondateurs du groupe Boukman Eksperyans créé dans les années 70 et à l’origine de la musique « racine ». Naturellement doué, Ted écrit sa première composition à l'âge de 6 ans. Autodidacte et talentueux percussionniste, il maîtrise plusieurs rythmes du vodou haïtien au tambour et sa virtuosité lui vaut de rejoindre la formation de ses parents à 12 ans et d’accompagner Boukman Eksperyans lors de tournées internationales. Ted s’enrichit musicalement et collabore aux sessions d’enregistrement et aux vidéoclips, révélant ses aptitudes d’arrangeur et de producteur et devient l’arrangeur principal de Boukman Eksperyans en 2008.
Installé depuis des années à Genève où il a effectué ses études d’ingénierie HES, la musique est restée sa vocation et l’a conduit à réaliser plusieurs albums comme producteur, à animer des stages et à composer la musique de films.
(1) La musique « racine », fusion des rythmes traditionnels vodou joués au tambour avec les instruments de l’orchestration moderne, a révolutionné le paysage musical d’Haïti. Grâce à cette musique, Boukman Eksperyans a été nominé en 1991 pour un Grammy Awards, ce genre musical inclassable par le jury a été à l’origine de la catégorie « World Music ».modifier.

Who is T'dòz?
Ted G. Beaubrun aka "T'dòz" (pronounced Ti doze) was born in Ouanaminthe, Haiti and he came from the most prestigious musically and socially committed family on the island. He is the grandson of Theodore Beaubrun, one of the first prominent drummers in Haiti and son Theodore Beaubrun Jr. (nicknamed ‘Lolo’) and mother Mimerose (nicknamed ‘Manze’). In the 1970’s his parents created the group Boukman Eksperyans, known as the original "roots" (racine (1) ) music in Haiti .
Naturally gifted, Ted wrote his first composition at the age of 6. A talented and self taught percussionist, he mastered several rhythms of Haitian Vodou drums and skillful determination earned him the privelege of joining his parents at the tender age of 12 and accompanying Boukman Eksperyans throughout their international tours. Ted musically enriched and contributed to the recording and videos sessions, and in doing so revealed his skills as an arranger and producer. Because of this, he became the main arranger for Boukman Eksperyans since 2008.
Living in Geneva for many years, Ted managed to completed his engineering studies at ‘HES’, all while keeping to his vocation as a musician. While studying he made several albums as a producer, acquired internships and composed film music .
(1) "Roots" (racine) music is a fusion of traditional vodou rhythms played on the drums with the instruments of modern orchestration. Haiti has revolutionized the musical landscape and with this kind of music, Boukman Eksperyans was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1991. This musical genre was unclassifiable by the jury was relegated to the "World Music" category.
